Step-by-Step Guide for using Qware Pressure Cooker

The Qware® Aluminium Pressure Cooker uses less water, shorter cooking times, and higher temperatures to achieve more concentrated and desirable flavors. It preserves nutrients and vitamins better by cooking meals for a shorter duration at higher temperatures (up to 120ºC). Its classic design and durability make it suitable for both home and everyday commercial use.

When to use?

The aluminum material is ideal for cooking salty foods, such as braised dishes. Using stainless steel cookware for salty foods may cause pitting if not handled properly, so it is recommended to choose aluminum, which is much more suitable for this type of cooking.

How to use?

1. Turn the press handle knob of the pressure cooker anti-clockwise until it loosens to open the lid.

2. Place food and necessary liquid in the pressure cooker pot. Do not overfill and do not use oil as the liquid.

Note: Liquid is always needed for the cooking process.

3. Close the lid and make sure both ends of the elastic ridge are aligned exactly at the centre of the side ears.

Note: Please do not push the lid when covering, as this can cause the gasket to roll out of place. If the gasket is not correctly positioned, it may lead to steam leakage. The correct method is to place the lid from the top and then gently lower it into position.

4. Turn the knob clockwise until the elastic ridge touches the side ears. Then, turn the knob 1.5 to 3 more times to fully secure the lid. (For C30 models, turn two circles.) *One circle equal 360◦

5. Place the limit valve on the valve base.

Note: it should not touch the surface of the lid.

6. Once all steps are completed, the pressure cooker is ready to be heated.

7. Heat the pressure cooker in high temperature until the limit valve begin to release steam. When the limit valve release the steam, the limit valve will start rock lightly and is the time to reduce the temperature to low setting. The rocking motion might have hissing noise.

8. Turn off the stove when cooking time is reached. Caution when handling, as pressure cooker is extremely hot. You must NOT remove the lid until the internal pressure has been safety released.

To Open the Lid:

  • Use a cloth to lift the limit valve and release the steam.
  • Once the pressure has been fully released then gradually turn the knob clockwise to open the lid.

Note: If steam leaks, use a cloth to open the valve. If you open the valve by hand, do it quickly to avoid burns. Please make sure wait until all the pressure has been completely released before opening the lid.
